...when scheduling out-of-conference games against high-profile opponents, whatever happened to agreeing to play at THEIR place? (USC doesn't count.) Rutgers and UConn -HAVE- to play elsewhere, Arizona State -HAS- to play at a neutral site... c'mon. Seriously. I know Notre Dame does to go some other schools' stadiums, but for crying out loud.

These teams sign up for it.

And it is not like Oklahoma is traveling to cincy - they are playing at Paul Brown Stadium for Cincy's home game.

Ohio state the same way for Cincy, Iowa played NIU's away game at Soldier Field.

It is becoming more common

Whens that youngstown state home and home series going on....or that uh kent state series? Stop hating on Notre Dame hippocrate...every big time program does it...Notre Dame goes away to more bigger and smaller name schools than ohio state...so shut it

I guarantee that the money part of the deal is better for ASU that it's not at their house.

Plus, why would the Fightin' Irish want to play even a night game in the Arizona desert when every Pac-10 team does it every other year?

The wrost part is that if NBC keeps their trend of their crappy college football announcers and coverage then it will suck for the college football fan watching. maybe it'll be on a good AM radio station and I can mute the TV!

In 1998 the Irish played at Sun Devil stadium. Then the next year the Sun Devils traveled to South Bend. This game is being played in Texas because it is a new stadium being built also I am sure that the Irish are being paid well to play a home game there. This will also allow Notre Dame fans (alum) from Texas to see them play in person.

Yes a big part of this is for the money but now days what part of Division 1College Sports isn't ?
