Yes it is. Rockies are 1 year wonders, the Padres suck, and the Giants are a mini-surprise, but won't make it.

The Rockies last season got hot at the right time when the Mets and Dodgers got cold. I think they lost two big locker room guys in Kazuo Matsui and Josh Fogg who really were big parts of last seasons success in the postseason and late in the regular season. at second base, Clint Barmes will do fine filling the void once troy tulowitzki returns. once he does come back clint will over to second. i think Omar Quintanilla will be a good prospect too. with garrett akins hot, Matt Holliday heating up and the backup catcher chris ianetta playing like he was expected coming out of the miors the rockies have a shot at getting back.another player doing really well is Ryan Spilborghs. this kid would start on 25 other teams. Brad Hawpe better start performing or he will take his spot at RF.

i think the Diamondbacks have a hell of a team and will win the div but the rockies can get hot and starting to play well. Aaron Cook is finally having that breakout season so far. 6 straight wins is impressive. hes finally playing like an ace. josh fogg leaving hurt though b/c he was a great 5th day starter for us. he always had quality outings. i would not mind getting him back. i think ubaldo jiminez will be great once he gets control on his form and fastball. Jeff Francis will also start to come along. the kid has discipline and will get it together. he has had poor run support but the bats are getting hot finally.

The Giants are now 1-0 with Omar Vizquel in the line-up.  I esitimate conservatively that "Lil O"  can start maybe 90 games the rest of the season.  So at their current pace it looks like the Giants will win around 115 games this year.  If The Diamondbacks can match that...more power to them.

Seriously,  the Rockies will play better,  the Dodgers will prove to be no better than average by season's end,  and the Rockies and Dbacks will supply your 2 team race.  The Giants are a very pleasent surprise,  and may play some spoiler role come Sept with their pitching.

Yes it will be a 2 team race between the Rockies and the D-Backs (who at this writing have lost(6 of 8). Yes the Rockies got off to a terrible start, but things are heating up. The Dodgers will be a threat, but will have their yearly collapse by no fault of Joe Torre.

Koyangi,

You are a true Giants fan. LOL No matter what, you will always think the Dodgers are overrated and a terrible team.

Too bad the Giants are any good, and wont be for a very long time because its just not the same rivalry right now
