I never complain about reffs, they are part of the game. In fact, It makes me sick when people complain about reffs. However, I have been watching sports (Football, Hockey, Basketball, Baseball) for over 30 years and NEVER saw the BS calls the Rangers got in series. The Rangers should have won that series in five games. The NHL pushed the Pens to win, I kid you not. The want this Crosby kid to be the M.Jordan of the NHL and they just keep putting Pittsburgh on the Power Play. Every game at the end Pitt got a Power play. I'm to the point where I don't know if I will watch the NHL anymore. I watched a complete year and it comes down to that? It was a joke! I feel for you Philly fans, You are going to get robbed you heard it here 1st. The NHL is pushing Pitt to the cup. The Pens are not that great, the Rangers beat them in almost every game, they would get out to a 3 to 0 lead and then the reffs would start with their Power Plays for the Pens, getting them back in each game. I'm sorry, I feel like the NHL is fixed. Don't laugh Philly, You wait until your robbed.

There is no 'Fix', the refs aren't 'out to get anyone', nor are they trying to 'build up' Crosby. If they were really trying to 'fix' anything, why wouldn't it be the "Cinderella Story" of the Flyers this season? With Philly being a MUCH larger TV/Population market thaan Pittsburgh, it would make sense to 'get them' into the playoffs.
It's not happening though. Some teams just excel in the Playoffs, while other teams fail. It's all about what team gets hot, and manages to maintain it. The Rangers just hit a cold spell at just the wrong time.
I hope the Flyers play the Pens well, and I of course want 'my' team to win. To infer that the league or the Refs are "giving" games to Pittsburgh for ANY reason? It's is just wrong. If the Flyers lose, they lose. Accepting that with dignity is just part of being a Fan. If you don't people will be happpy to label us as the 'Cryers'.
Anyone who keeps calling for a 'conspiracy' of any kind needs to stop it. There is NO WAY they could keep something like that hidden in today's society.

shut up. There are missed calls, and there are calls that are weak but are made anyways. It happens. The Rangers had their chances to put the game(s) away. The refs didn't have a comeback and beat the rangers 5-4 in that game. Jagr could've scored instead he hit the post. the rebound went high of the net. The ref didn't miss that chance. THE RANGERS DID. The rangers had their powerplay chances too they just don't have as powerful of a powerplay as the Penguins. so shut up and just accept that your team lost. I'm not say the rangers are bad or anything, i'm just trying to say that the rangers had their chances and they didn't capitalize on them, the penguins did, thus the penguins won the series not the rangers

stop your complaining the pens draw so many penalties bc they have the most talent in the league anyways except for lunquist and the jagr straka dubinsky line the rest of your team was terrible

You must be in the bathroom right now praising the porcelain gods then, because it sounds to me like you just did a whole lot of whiny complaining about the refs. I think that you are just mad because all of your favorite teams are in a downward spiral and the only chance you had of one of them in a championship was the Rangers. If the Flyers lose this series it will be becasuse Kimmo Timonen is out, not because the refs screw us over. Also, I think that you should look on the bright side and feel lucky that your hockey season is over. Now you can just sit back and relax all summer watching Hack Steinbrenner make an ass out of himself continuously making stupid comments to the media.

The Rangers had 25 powerplays during the series to the Penguins 24. Don't need to dig much deeper than that, there is no conspiracy, and if there was, I'm sure the NHL would push to keep America's largest TV market in the playoffs. Before you post something, think.
And for God's sake quit complaining already. New Yorkers claim to be such great fans but you seem to crumble and whine like 4 year olds when something doesn't go your way. Grow up and accept a loss like an adult.

The Rangers had 34 PP chances in the series, the Pens had 30, so I don't know what you're complaining about, the Rangers had more chances on the PP, so you should blame them for going 4-34(around that range) on their PP....as for the first game of the series, and the Pens scored their first 4 goals of the game when it was 5on5 on the ice, and the penalty at the end of the game was legit, Straka interfered with Sid while sid was looking to bust out a fast break, thats called interference...as for a penalty at the end of every game in favor of the pens? The Rangers had the PP opportunities at the end of game 2, they had no penalties called against them in the 3rd period of game 3, they won game 4, as far as game 5, yeah Malone should've got a 4-minute penalty, but Drury deserved the penalty called on him as well, and the Pens won in OT at even strength, so i don't really know what you're b!tching about, other than the Pens complete domination of the rangers...
