INFL Bandits,
The homerism in me causes me to applaud your choice; however, being a resident of the River City, I also have followed the Jags off-season moves fairly closely.
I agree that they have moved a bit closer to competing with their arch rivals, the Indianapolis Colts, and they proved in playoffs last season that they are able to hold their own against the Pats. That said, I am still not totally convinced that they are capable of unseating both of those teams in one fell swoop.
On the other hand, I thought my 'Boys were destined for stardom last season, but they came up miserably short in falling to the Giants in the second round. The GMen were the better team on THAT day, and that is the only requirement in a one-and-done playoff scenario.
I like what the 'Boys have done in the off-season to bolster their chances of returning to the playoffs and advancing beyond. The only major question is the plight of WR Terry Glenn, whom everyone at the Ranch seems to believe will be on the field next season. Jerry Jones and Wade Phillips are taking solace in the fact that the 'Boys had a record-setting and record-shattering offense in '07 WITHOUT Glenn.
So, while your choice is intriguing, until proven different, I believe my 'Boys and the Pats are better choices for the SB.
