Nothing against Philly.  They have come further than anyone expected.  A great run indeed.  But now they are up against real firepower.  Forget the regular season wins against this Penguins teams.  It's a whole new season now, and the Penguins are on a roll.  Penguins in 5 games.  Good run Philly, see ya' next year.

I got to agree the Penguins will defeat the Flyers.  The advantage is obvious to me.  The Penguins will see a ton of success on the power play, and they'll get more oppertunities than the Flyers.  My only question is will Malkin remain on the blueline for those wicked slap shots, or will Malkin replace Crosby on the half wall?

I agree it is a whole new season now, and I'd say Philly's on a roll too wouldn't you??  We basically swept the Canadians, if it weren't for a lousy call that forced the game into overtime in game 1.  I'm not gonna sit here and tell you the Flyers win the series straight out, it's too hard to call.  But for whatever reason I feel very confident in them and what they've shown me this post season.  Either way it's not going to be a 5 game series I'll tell you that much.

obviously coming from a Penguin fan. I would expect nothing less. But you do have some truth in your statement. We are w/o one of the best defenseman. But in 5? I'd add another game to the series, and it could go either way.

A real firepower? So Philly has 7 20+ scorers and 6 50+ point players. Penguins, well they have 5 20+ scorers and the same amount of 50+ point players. The problem with the Penguins is that they seem to put the weight of the team on 2 players, where the Flyers have more of a well rounded team. This series can go either way, but its not going to be dominated by one side or the other.   More than likely this will be a 6 or 7 game series.

Also about the powerplay.  Last time I checked Flyers were 2nd on the Powerplay.  Oh and we also knocked off the #1 and the #3 seed.  Oh and on another note, we didnt give up on our last game of the regular season for a specific playoff spot.

It's true, the playoffs are different.  Everybody says so, because they just are.  But this isn't some vague differentness.  The playoffs rewards teams that exhibit tenacity, ferocity, relentlessness, and desperation; that are willing to play through pain, to take a puck to the chest , too...sacrifice.

The Rangers fans that I've talked to seem to think this will favor the Flyers.

I can't wait to see this play out.
