For any team, to sign Barry Bonds or not is a simple business decision.  What's the upside and the downside?

Upside:  We MAY get 20-30 more homeruns with him vs. anyone else available, on the team or in our system.

Downside:  He's 43 years old, juuuuust a little past his prime.  And because of his age and the fact that he'll have no spring training to get into shape, he'll be susceptible to injury that could eliminate or limit any of the upside above.  He'll cost us multi-millions for less than one season (because he'll be in jail next season).  Our fans will say all sorts of nasty things about signing him.  He's had trouble in the past getting along with teammates so our team chemistry will definitely suffer.  My fellow owners will laugh at me and call me "SUCKERRRRR!".  And they would be right.

Nahhhhh.  Thanks anyways but I'll pass on this deal.
