This isn't directed at any one person but I find it interesting that so many people have LaRon Landry as a top 5 saftey, especially after a subpar rookie performance. The reason this intrigues me is because nobody has ever called his brother a top five safety, I think this is because of hype. Dawan Landry outperformed all safeties except 3 or 4 in his rookie season and never got the acclaim for it. Even now affter his second season closely compares to his brother's rookie season (Laron= no INTs, 1.5 sacks and 63 solo tackles, 1 FF.......Dawan= no INTs, 1 sack, 67 solo tackles, 0 FF) Laron is considered top 5 by to many people and Dawan is forgotten.
I think this is a prime example of hype. I don't think either one should be called top 5 without top 5 performance in at atleast 2-3 seasons.
Also, I think Sean Jones and Adrian Wilson are better than people are thinking, along with Chris Hope.
