This is where we can put J.J. Hardy. Despite today's offensive explosion by Hardy, last season appears to have been a fluke. With our struggles in the bullpen and particularly at closer, the team is left in a particularly dire situation.
It is well documented that Hardy has a cannon of a throwing arm, and he had been converted to pitcher for a season while in college. Because of the difficulty catchers had handling his pitches, Hardy was quickly switched back to mid-infielder, where he plays currently.
I propose we move him to the 9th inning, where he can throw 100 MPH strikes to Jason Kendall, rather than Prince Fielder.
