The fact that you Yankee fans take this so seriously, and that you cant laugh at yourselves, is the exact reason that Yankee fans suck.  The misconception within the world of baseball is that fans of other teams hate the Yankees.  The fact is, we dont really have a problem with the Yankees themselves.  I wouldn't mind having most of them on my team.  We actually hate the Yankee fans.
The old Yankees were a well run, dominating organization.  20 of your 26 World Series were won before 1970.  That was utter domination that anyone can respect...especially when the playing field was even back then.
We cant stand the obnoxious, boisterous, idiots that think the reason their team won 3 out of 4 championships in the late 90's, and consistently makes the playoffs, has anything to do with anything other than money.  The reason the Yankees have been good for the last decade is money....nothing more.  Fans of other teams that dont have access to that money can't respect that.  And therefore cant respect Yankee fans.
If the playing field was leveled and a salary cap instated and the Yankees remained dominant, there would be no argument.  I would bow to the pinstripes.  Obviously that would never happen because the Steinbrenners cant get out of their own way and would never survive with a salary cap.

Obnoxious, boisterous, idiots... You just described every Pats fan I've ever met. I also hate to tell you this but the Red Sux aren't in the poor house. Your team spends a ton of money just like we do, so your entire arguement makes no sence. You can say whatever you want right now but if this article made fun of Red Rox fans I know your little "Red Sox nation" would be all over this guy.

Hey Numbskull, take a look at my picture...I live in Maryland, I am an Orioles fan.  You're an idiot.  What made you think I was a Sox fan?  I actually think Sox fans are worse than Yankee Fans.  When they lose they whine worse than anyone, When they win they are more obnoxious.  And that accent makes it even worse.
You have no argument, the system is F'd up.  My team has great tradition, but no chance to add to it under the current economic system.  Even if our owner wasnt a moron, we still dont have the kind of money needed to compete with NY and Boston.  They need to level the playing field, and until they do, I dont want to hear anything from Yankee and Red Sox fans because they might as well be in another league. They use the rest of MLB as their minor league system anyway.

Whose whining now ?  After the novelty of Camden Yards wore off and some losing seasons the Orioles have become a second tier team . Hmmmm trade the farm for Miguel Tejada and then homie wants to leave after a couple  years. The Red Sox infuse their own well developed farm system a la    Ellsbury , Pedroia   Youkalis   Varitek and add a few mercenary Greats  ala  Beckett  Lowell  Manny  Schilling  and create a great mix of veterans and youngsters . They actually  have TEAM in mind  . The Yankees  go out and elevate payroll spending, damning the luxury tax   way beyond anyone's reach .This is including the Red Sox . The Yankee's  piss away money every year and expect everybody to be forking out moreand more  to keep up with them. Thus driving players salaries throught the stratosphere .  They have a bunch of overpaid pre-madonnas without great team chemistry  a lot of talent   singularly and not collectively .The Red Sox are sick of having their noses rubbed in it by Yankee Dickheads . Tito  Epstein is a  boy  wonder genious . Heh Baltimore your going to have to keep up with the Joneses i guess  or be happy with third in the east or maybe 4th   look at Tampon Bay .. Great things can come from snaller payrolls if the TEAM is placed together properly   Peace  and Good Luck

First of all douche bag, the Orioles aquired Tejada through free agency not through a trade.  That statement right there shoots any type of creditbility you might of had and proves you know nothing about baseball.  Sounds like someone is stil salty about getting swept while leading every game in the series by 3 runs at one point.  Any thing else you try to bring up about the O's and Redsox is history, and anybody that knows anything about baseball, meaning not you, knows that O'S have a more prestigous history than the Red Sox

Well Rusty, I guess we should change our tune. The last thing any of us Yankee fans want to is upset you. We're sooo sorry you don't like us. When we are cheering for the yankees or arguing for the Yankees we must remmeber that Rusty in Maryland doesn't like us and we should try to win him over.

Sorry Rusty, I promise to try harder in the future.

You are the doucher  pal  .......  Yeah your illustrious front office overpaid for  Tejada and shelved the ability to pay for any one else worth a damn .,Your team blows and don't ever question my knowledge of baseball a-wipe  .  Tampon Bay  is a better organization . Your still living in the Eddie Murray/Cal Ripken  or  Brooks /Frank  Robinson / Jim Palmer Days days .   Just because your such a rude   dip sh*t    I wish the  Orioles the  same fate as the Yank Offs   3rd or 4th place  in the AL EAST .

Yet again your ignorance shines.  The O's have the ability to spend out of control, Angelos just chooses not too.  They had a trade in the works to get Burnett and Lowell over here when Tejada was on the team and they were in first place at the all star break but for whatever reason dumb dumb Angelos chose to veto the trade.  Well those days are behind us now and Macphail is running the show now. Ill take him over your "boy wonder genious" Besides that little 10 year absence we had from being frontrunners in the playoff race seems minisucal to the decades of  sloppy baseball the Sox used to play.  Even when they had good teams they couldnt help but play sloppy.  Buckner LOL!!!!!Typical Boston fans, they can dish out but they cant take it, but I wouldnt expect anything less from a city/area where the women where the pants.
