He didn't face a seeded player and had 2 guys retire on him.  Nothing wrong with that but going 3 sets with Wawrinka is not what I call dominating.  No Rafa, no Roger, no Roddick, and no Davydenko.  Still Novak is looking good.  I am thinking more and more that tennis is a grueling year round sport.  Dominating may be the same as surviving.

Are you watching or just reading the results?

Djokovic is a terrific player, someone that nobody in the tennis community would be shocked to see him ranked #1 at some point this year.

Have you seen his Sharapova impression?

I genarally agree with BlueCollarIT... Wawrinka was his toughest opponent and I wouldn't put him anywhere near the same class as Rafa or Roger.  I'd put him a tiny step below an in form Davydenko but way ahead of Roddick on clay.  Andy Roddick cannot play on clay.  He never will be able to.  Djokovic could very well become number 1 because he has the game to play on all surfaces, but it will be tough... at least for another year or two.  He definitely has the talent to get there though.

I was talking about his tennis not his impressions.  ok, his impressions are dominating.  I also don't doubt he could become the number one player by the end of the year.  My comments are directed toward this one tournament.  Beating Wawrinka in 3 sets in the final is not what I call dominating.
