There you go right there the next coach of the Leafs, Ron Wilson and then you hire Craig Hartsburg as and assistant and you are set at coach. Plus you cant call me a stupid leafs fan because that isnt a stupid idea because the Leafs have lots of money and coaches want money, same thing with the GM the Leafs are ready to pay Brian Burke 5 million dollars. But still thats a pretty good idea bring in Ron Wilson. And Hartsburg is good because he coached Canadas world junior team and coaches minor hockey in Canada so he is used to working with young guys and the Leafs will have plenty of young guys next year, sign Wilson got a couple mill and Hartsburg for 1 mill

LEAFS4LIFE, you really think the Leafs will go with a youth movement? My dad is a huge Leafs fan (I've never liked them), and he's convinced that they are going to have wait until all of these guys' contracts are up (like Blake and McCabe) before they can bring in some fresh faces. But I agree, I think Wilson would be a good fit in Toronto. Maurice thrives better with teams that have less in terms of talent, while the Leafs do have some talent on their team. But Wilson could come in and spark them to the playoffs. But, if you want them to reach the 3rd round, might want to look elsewhere.

I think the leafs would end up in a battle with the sens for Wilson’s services. Wilson is the type of coach that the sens need, or atleast he seems like it; a “take no crap” type of coach, who will make players accountable for their actions on and off the ice. Someone who could come in a fix the dressing room problems. There is no doubt that the sens have the talent, now they just need a coach to make them play up to their potential, I think wilson would be that guy. That being said, I think he got the screw job in San Jose. Every year, he gets his team a high seed in the playoffs, and every year his players disapear come post season. Honestly, Thornton must be the biggest playoff flop player in NHL history (other than maybe yashin), yet wilson is the one who gets the axe.

Wow...Ron Wilson got whacked by the Sharks....I guess winning a division gets you fired these days....he was also the winningest coach in the history of the Sharks in his 4 years. There is a lot of speculation on who the next coach to get a pink slip may be....and I need to look no further than a few miles down the street.....Rutherford and Karmanos are meeting with Laviolette to discuss his future this week.....

Toronto may have plenty of good coaching candidates to choose from if this keeps up!!!!
