LightsOut,

As a Raiders fan, I've got to agree with you BUT ONLY to the extent that the players noted on your team are more proven than those on the Raiders squad.  Could not disagree more, however, on your assessment of Norv Turner.  That loser screwed up the Dolphins, screwed up the 49ers, screwed up the Raiders, and your Bolts are next.  When are YOU going to realize that Norv IS the problem?  My best guess is this year.  Your team would have performed better if it wasn't for him last year and reason he hasn't ruined your team YET is because you've got so much talent.  It's only a matter of time though...

lights out --- ur obviously a cheerleader for the dolts, not an intellligent fan --- cromartie is a talented DB, but your facts are skewed --- the reason nnamdi did not have many picks last year is because teams to not throw to his side after the sick season he had the year before ... if you remember, after deion sanders was picking off everything thown his way, teams just stopped throwing to his side ... as a result - his picks went down but that third of the field was basically obsolete in opposing offensive coordinators minds ... now, with Dhall on the other side, where is rivers gonna throw on us?? gates may not be 100% ever again -- he is a huge man & toe injuries can be re-occuring --- with that size frame, he may never get back to his old form

as for your coaching situation --- i still have no clue as to why you would fire marty after the job he did the year before --- all you guys had to do was feed LT the ball the entire second 1/2 in that playoff game against the Patriots 2 years ago and you wudda been in the superbowl ... last year, your team nearly ripped itself apart in the 1st 1/2 of the season & injuries caught up with you in the post-season --- rivers was a warrior no doubt, but LT is a b---- ... he has shredded us in the past, but i have 0 respect for a guy who pulls a sunny liston in the biggest game of his career --- u guys made a big mistake not payin' Michael Turner

I dont want to make u bolts feel bad, but Gates toe is a major concern...Shall I remind you the TOE retired J. Ogden, and he didnt have to run full speed...

And Rivers knee is going to take at least a year before he is back to normal...Shall I remind you of McNabb...

Lt is a questionable after the playoff injury...Shall I remind you LT is about the same age as Shaun Alexander was when he fell apart... the injuries wear out the best RB...

Merriman and  the rest of the roiders, cant afford to get caugt cheating again...Shall I remind you he and they have been caught before...lol...so they will be playing clean for the first time since freshmen year of high school...SCARY!!!

I feel bad for making you feel bad about your bolts, so I will give you Cromartie, He was good last year, when nobody knew who he was...But this is professional football...teams have been watching his films for the last 5 months, and they will have his number, this year...lol

We will probably split with the bolts, but since old Norv is at the head, we may SWEEP...

Let me start by saying I am a huge Raider fan and have been my whole life.  We have been the doormat for the AFC West since losing in the Superbowl a few years back now.  We have caught a lot of grief for that, and rightly so, from the other AFC West fans; lets face it we have been horrible in the division until last year where we started to turn things around.

The Chiefs are, even with a good draft, the team with the most rebuilding to do.  The Broncos will have another no name 1000 yard rusher but I don't think they are ever going to do anything with alcoholic diabetes, no disrespect to anyone with the disease, boy Jay Cutler.

That pretty much leaves where most of the discussion of this thread has been...the Raiders and the Chargers.  I think as a Raider fan I have to admit that we have been HORRIBLE against LT and the Bolts for a while now, there is no disputing that.  And although I think the Raiders are the most improved team in the division, they better be after spending 168 million or whatever, until we prove we can stop LT and beat the Dolts we have to acknowledge they are better.  I think this is the year that we beat them and probably split games.  I only picked them to lose twice to the Dolts before because I could not in good conscious pick the Raiders to win 10 games and I liked my other picks...this is a team that has won 10 games the last 3 years.

On paper the Raiders have the potential to be a better team, the only thing is that they are not proven and San Diego has proven that they can win games...in the regular season anyway.  This is the year the Raiders get to .500...what they do beyond that will depend completely upon JaMarcus Russell.

GRAIDERS,

Gates toe does concern me.  But lets remember that he was ineffective for most of the playoffs after the injury.  Jackson and Chambers stepped way up.  Both averaged 6 catches and 100 yards per game against very good defenses (Titans, Colts, and Patriots).  The more time Rivers and Chambers spend together, the better they will be.  The more experience Jackson gets, the better he will be.  IF Gates is healthy and back to form, we will abuse your secondary.  BTW... I doubt we throw much against you because your run defense is the worst in football.  What did you guys do to improve the run defense...?  Nothing!  If you can't stop the run in the NFL (not to mention the AFC West) you will lose.  That's Football 101.

Show me the proof that LT is slowing down... 2 straight rushing titles and the scoring record.  Didn't LT put up 198 yards on you last year in one game...?  He looked really good accelerating and cutting in minicamp.  The only thing falling apart is your hope that LT won't hang another 200+ yard game on you... again!

As for our "roiders"... those two guys get tested all the time (more than others because of their positive tests) and every single one has come up negative.  Castillo has a clause written into his contract that if he tests positive he will forfeit his signing bonus.  Merriman still had a good year even though teams rolled extra protection his way every play last year.  Dude had 3 pass blockers (T, TE, and RB) rolled his way all the time last year.  You may not respect him but coaches of other teams are and that's the ultimate act of respect.

No one knew who Cromartie was because he wasn't starting last year.  That's right... not starting half the year and still got 10 interceptions.  Can't wait to see what he does strting all year long.  And don't think people will start throwing at Jammer.  Just ask Randy Moss how that went...

The only thing you'll sweeping up is the two giant turds you lay against us this next year.  Sorry Raider fans... it's your turn to suck for a while.

LightsOut, come out of the darkness of your brief success in the nfl...

We both agree Gates is a concern with that toe...But he is an all time great...I will give you that...

I didnt say LT is slowing down, I said he is about the same age as Shaun Alexander, when the injuries started to mount on him...no RB runs forever...I hope you dont have to put in Michael Turner, if LT goes down...lol...oops!

The Roids affect you mentally as well as physically...Without the confidence of the roids, a player might get blown up by a lil guy like Jones-Drew or somebody like that...lol

Norv, Norv, Norv, that will be the chant on the road for the bolts...lol
