Edison Volquez on the mound trying to win #6.

A few Reds have had much success vs. Mark Hendrickson:

Phillips 7-11 2HR

Griffey 5-8 1HR

Dunn

Oops

Dunn 4-8

Hatty 3-7

EE 2-5

What drama will unfold tonight?  They sure tried to lose the game last night.

Volquez has his work cut out for him tonight.  The Reds can't seem to win two in a row so it's going to be an uphill battle for our early cy young contender.  Still, if you're the Marlins you have to be pretty intimidated by the numbers he has put up.  I'm going to hold out faith in Volquez and see what happen.  I'd love nothing more than the Reds to sweep the Marlins and get a serious streak going.  I will be bringing my broom on Thursday if it comes down to that. Lets go Reds!

I'm predicting Edison will mystify the Marlin hitters tonight and earn his first complete game shutout.  7-0 Reds!!!

I don't live in the area and don't get to see the Reds at the ballpark.
What's the enthusiasm level?
Home crowd will definitely help when it's loud and committed.
The Reds haven't had that in a long, long time.

Attendance is fairly pathetic, it seems.

Yeah, attendance is not exactly sell-out normally.  The Indians series should bring in the crowds.  I'm going on Sunday at least. They really need to run some crazy beer deals or something if they are going to get crowds there if we aren't winning.  They had around 15000 there last night which isn't terrible but it's not great either.  I definitely recommend everyone get to the park if they can.

It will definitely be nice to see both these 5-1 pitchers duel it out.

I hope the Reds can bring their bats tonight. Volquez is gonna need some help!

GO REDS!!!

The last time Volquez pitched at home they had 27,000+ for a business day special, not too shabby.

Would much rather have Freel leading off every night than McStrikeout.  I can definitely live with that line-up.  Griffey isn't exactly a game changer anyways.  I think we've got a good chance of getting a win streak going tonight.
