Which DE makes the roster?

I'm going to assume that the following DE's will make the 53 man roster:

Derrick Burgess, Greg Spires, Jay Richardson & Kalimba Edwards

The top 4 players in the poll are rookies. Morant can play DE & DT. AGB can play DE & OLB.

I'm also going to assume that the following DT's will make the 53 man roster:

Tommy Kelly, Terdell Sands, Gerard Warren & William Joseph

Josh Shaw being the odd man out ..

Of an 8 man line I see 3 new players that are locks and another 1 at a different position than last season (DE to DT). How can people say we've done "nothing" to fix the run defense? I think by "nothing" they mean we didn't draft Dorsey or Ellis in the first round. But you know what? I think they'll change their tune if Dorsey gets re-injured in camp or preseason and DMC goes on to win rookie of the year honors.

Back to the topic, which DE makes it? Please explain ...

	If Akbar Biamila has a good camp he should make the team. He also plays LB and they list him at that. They will use him as a LB that comes from the edge like a DE. I also think that they "might" take a long look at Trevor Scott. They drafted him late but he was the only DE drafted by them. They will give him a good look. You named 9 guys That I agree with. If that's the case keeping a 10th will have to be a guy that can fill a few roles. Scott may make the practice squad. Akbar fits the different role guy. JMO.

	I think the linebacker competition will be too much for Akbar to handle, unless he proves to be an absolute beast on special teams and outplays Ekejiuba he won't be around. If we're taking 10 players for the DL then i'll go with my 8 locks and give the other 2 spots to Scott and Morant. I think it'd be smart to have Scott on the roster, not the practice squad. If we cut him, he might be scooped off waivers and we might not have the chance to reclaim him for the ps. Morant has value because he (like TK) can play DE or DT. If he can play either one well he'll be added. If he can play special teams I'll call him a lock. Kiffin said after the rookie mini camp that he can 1 or 2 undrafted guys making the final roster. I'm thinking Morant may be one of them, the other being a WR, DE or OLB (some position of need).

	I'm not sure if any of them can make the roster. An 8 man DL with good depth and TK able to play DT/DE there may not be room. BUT I do think Trevor Scott and/or Tranell Morant will make the pratice squad.

	I as well like Trevor Scott to make the team. AGB has been on our roster before on and off and has been a little lackluster IMO.

	I think Trevor Scott definitely makes the team, when Ryan was interviewed, he had a lot of positives to say about Scott...The kid is definitiely going to be some kind of hybrid defensive player with freakish ability...But right now he is too green to play against the vets...He will get signed, but will rarely play until next season...

	I went with Trevor Scott as well, and I think Greyson Gunheim makes the team too. Not too sure about Greg Spires. I think he's just a warm body for training camp. Good veteran to have around though.

	I vote Trevor Scott. I still think Derrick Burgess could be traded, and if so then Gunheim and Morant would make 10 D-linemen.

	Trevor Scott is probably going to edge Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, but it will be tough, they are both pretty explosive.

	Don't forget they are looking at what Fred Wakefield can do on the D side of the ball lining him up at DE, since they already know what he can do at O.
