I played briefly with the Orioles twice, once helping them get to a World Series.  That year, I came over from St. Louis for a "player to be named later."    I batted .310 with the birds, but returned to St. Louis as my own player to be named later.  I went down in Orioles trivia history as the man who was traded for himself.  Who am I?

I didn't give choices, because I couldn't think of a way to frame them that wouldn't be obvious.

This one is pretty easy for the older guys. The Orioles pulled a fast one then. They basically borrowed Tito from the Cardinals for the post season. I wonder if MLB made a rule to stop that kind of dealing.

I wasn't sure how easy/hard this one would be.  This one happened the year before I was born; I just read about it a few months ago and thought it was kind of interesting.  I guess his home run against the White Sox made it even easier to remember.

I wonder why it isn't against the rules to "name" the guy you got later?  lol.

Yeah, Landrum.

When Tito came the second time, I remember his playing left field in an early 1988 game, and my dad explaining about the trade for 'himself'.
