Its about time somebody showed some emotion on this lackluster bunch. I gained a lot of respect for Billy Wagner this week for showing some sack and trying to light a fire under these players' asses. What he did is what Willie Randoplh should have done. Can somebody please tell WIllie that this isnt the 1997 Yankees and the mild manner wisdom from the Joe Torre school of managing will not work with this bunch- there just simply not as talented as those Yankees squads. This is a team that just had the biggest collapse in MLB history- can somebody show that they care.
Sidenote: I just feel the need to remind Mets fans who are Delgado apologists, that this is the same guy who took less money in order to be a Marlin instead of the Mets bc he didnt want to play in NY. Hes also twas the one who refused to acknowledge the Star Spangled Bannder while playing in Toronto... How soon we forget!
