Any other Bengal fan upset when the story about Odell is posted and see all of the CBS users post messages about "its about time they start cleaning up their mess" and "one down about 15 more to go"  etc.   These posters just come from no where who obviously haven't been paying attention to football at all in the last 4 months-2 years.

I know we still have Deltha O'Neal, Ahmad Brooks (wasn't his legal troubles in college?), the 5th round draft pick (also legal troubles from college days obviously), the Rookie free agent Purify from Nebraska(same legal issues from college)---highly doubt he'll make the squad to begin with....but who else do we have left on our roster who was arrested while a Cincy Bengal?

I love the real fan---like the huberh3--who see's the Bengals have cleaned house and multiple other teams are getting away with even more legal issues without the publicity.

We took crap for 2  years for being "thugs" and "convicts" and "boozers" and "wife beaters" and--whatever you wanna call a guy who gives two underage girls alcohol in your hotel room...I say typical 22 year old guy but thats just me.  We've moved on as a team so the Media and the general population needs to get over it

I agree that the media should get over it too.

I don't think it will happen though. Look at last month when CBS sports actually wrote a small article when Chris Henry was pulled over for driving with an expired tag!

Was that actually some worth writing about? NO, but if a Bengals player even farts in the wrong direction then someone, somewhere is going to write about it.

The combination between lazy journalists and the Bengals being an easy target tells me that it will probably happen again.

I think you missed Jonathan Joseph.  He was arrested for pot possesion i think, but it was something like while he was in his girlfriends car and he clamied it wasnt his.  Either way pot is not that big of a deal compared to other stuff going on.  I agree though and I have made several posts about it elsewhere that most NFL fans are ignorant when it comes to the Bengals.  The media likes to portray them as criminals, when in fact they have been getting rid of all the problem players the last year or so.  There are a few people out there applauding what the Bengals have been doing, but not many.

This is a simple problem to fix.  Win.  Not to be rude but the only reason people still talk about the issues in Cincinnati is the losing.

There is kind of like a quota the national sports programs feel they have to hit on each team to stay nonbiased.  So feel they have to "come up with a reason for the losing".

When the Bengals are winning ocho cinco is "playful" and helping them win, when they are losing he is a "distraction" and the a reason they are losing.

The truth is there are great players on the worst NFL teams.  If Balt. coach doesn't call a time out they beat the Pats.  A bounce/call/inch one way or another and games swing.  No one talks about the "locker room cancer" on winning teams.  they talk about overcoming adversity.

The thing thats so confusing and "stupid" to me is the fact that we didn't give him the opportunity to go through training camp and see how he would produce. I think we stuck with him too long to just drop him before we see what he's capable of. He showed flashes of being a Takeo Spikes type LB and we drop him? He would have cost third rounder money ( like 500,000). A guy who in this years draft wouldve been in the top ten. Think about what we'll be paying Keith Rivers this season. This off season just seems to be mistake after mistake.erome Simpson???? when there's Limas Sweed? Or us not trading up to get Ellis??!! I think unless there's more to it than him missing because his grandmother died, then this could be a HUGE mistake that we'll be reminded of every year we see him in the playoffs starting for the Patriots. I'd like to hear reasons of why this was a good decision other than his drinking issues because he hasn't had a positive test in like a year and a half they said on the radio. And that wasn't the reason the Bengals cited.

They never talk about other teams whose players get in trouble, yeah we get some nad apples but you dont have to show that the team is all like that. I thought they should have kept thurman but hopefully rivers does a bang up job, and helps out our defense and also we got a pretty DT out of Pat Sims from auburn he is gonna be a Casey Hampton type of player.
