Ellsbury a LOCK for ROY?

Jacoby Ellsbury is just phenomenal.  Despite Francona's insitence on sitting him every 4th or 5th game, Ellsbury is 2nd in the league in steals, leads the league in runs and is 5th in OBP.  He has also played phenomenal defense in all 3 outfield positions.  He's the most athletic player the Red Sox have ever had...(at least that I can remember).  The Red Sox seemingly don't lose when Ellsbury starts.

Who can challenge him for ROY??

LOL...He's not even the full time CF'r.....LOL

and....yet....he's all over the AL Leaders!  He'll be full-time very soon....  He's just phenomenal.  I'm glad we didn't trade him for Johan!!

At the moment I defenitly agree, but I think it's a good thing he is in the American League because Soto and soon to be Jay Bruce are going to be better rookies by the end of the year.  I don't think there is anyone who will beat out Ellsbury unless he gets hurt or a call up like Carlos Gonzalez performs above their head.

Soto is a monster!!  A catcher who can hit is such a rarity these days!  I figure Longoria could enter the race for ROY, maybe Gomez if he gets the average up.  Joba would have been in the mix if they had made him a starter....

Um, it's May.  Nobody is a lock for anything.

Who can challenge him?  I don't really know, but take a look at the numbers for Jim R. Johnson so far...
