The NL has to be the stronger league at this point... The NL MVP candidates (Berkamn, Utley, Chipper Jones) and Cy Young Candidate (Webb) are Far Superior to those of the AL currently... I think the ASG this year will be really cool, hopefully the AL surprises me.

Webb being 9 1 means nothing since hes pitching to much weaker lineups. It is not even close. The NL has MAYBE 2 teams that would content in any AL division. Dbacks and Cubs. MAYBE!!!!

I'm sorry, being 9-1 through 10 starts in the MLB will NEVER mean nothing...

So what is the time frame were talking here. You say overall...does that mean from the beginnings of baseball? Then the answer is NL. Are we talking in the 2000's? The AL. Are we talking this season? Then it might be a bit of a debate.
Clarify the question please.

The AL is by far the better league in comparison. Look at the overall performance in both leagues for the past 5 years. Need I say more.
AL:
Yankees
Boston
Cleveland
White Sox
Oakland(Don't laugh they are there at the end of every season making noise)
NL:
Some team that make a run or just powers through only to get smashed by the team that wins the AL pennant!!

When you ask who the "More Superior League" is, I would think that it is common sense that one would assume "this year" unless otherwise specified.
I would say the NL is better this year so far. I make that statement based on comparing the best positional players between the two leagues.

I think the level of competition in the NL is better than that of the AL, I mean you have the
NL Central where the Cardinals, Cubs, Brewers, and Pirates are all competing for that top spot (and I'm not QUITE ready to count out Cincy... but it's almost time)
The NL East is going to be very interesting, Florida seems to be a real threat with guys like Jacobs and Uggla going nuts, and Hanley Ramirez is always a threat... but they are the team no one even included in the post-season discussion at the begining of the year (remember all the 'Poor Marlins, A-Rod makes more than the whole team" threads) I think this division will be won by the Braves. The Mets could make it interesting as they have the most balanced talent in the division... Then there is the Phillies... if they could only pitch, if they only...
Then we have NL West, Arizona will not run away with it... The Dodgers will fight to the end...
The AL seems to be much weaker competition... it just feels like the AL Wild Card is going to be the most exciting race, non of the divisional races look that great so far...
I still will watch a ton more AL than NL games, as my team plays AL ball... but the NL seems superior at this point, and that trend will likely continue all year.

(I understand the question now) I like the NL style of play better, I think there is more strategy involved with having to let the pitcher hit.
Do you want to pinch hit for your starter after 7 shutout innings, because the game is still scoreless and there is a man in scoring position?

Weaker line-ups in the NL?
Of the top overall hitters in the ML this season, Josh Hamilton and Kevin Youkalis are the only AL hitters crack the top 10.
Out of the top 10 teams in MLB in runs scored, only 2 of those teams play in the AL.
Rock on Brandon Webb

I think the AL East division will certainly come down to the last two weeks of the season. There are a few good teams that can make a run at it. I feel the same way about the central right now. Detroit isn't out of it just yet. In the West I see the Angels winning that one.
For the NL it's about the same fight for the east and the central. Nobody is out of it and it should be a good fight till the end. I expect the wild card to come from the East in both the AL and NL.
