Hes just trying to get more money! I bet hes thinking if he retires that will make De La Hoya and golden boy promotions offer him even more to fight in a rematch. Its pretty smart if you ask me. He will fight again and it will be another record pay day im sure.

boxing is ran by scam artists and gang lords.... with that said, this is a load of crap to make a big money deal on a "comeback" fight.  He is pulling a MJ, as i call it,   Whether in boxing or in MMA, he will fight again.

Too true...the first time I heard this, I mean the first time since the last time, I thought "here we go again."  I really don't know why he would fight De La Hoya again anyway, but if he does he might as well milk it for however much he can.  What will be interesting is if he ever loses a fight, I wonder how fast he will be to discuss retirement then?

I'd love to see him in MMA. His first fight should be against Uriah Faber...

Up until hois bout with Zab, i did not know of his name. I should note that i am not the biggest boxing fanatic in the world, but i was familiar with everyone from Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, Evander, Manny P, Oscar and so on. The point being I have only seen this "world's best pound-for-pound" fighter 3 times, in his matches with Zab, Oscar and Hatton. If he is going to retire the best, he should at least fight the best and let it be known he beat them ALL...not Oscar out of his prime, or and older Gatti, and an undedicated Fatton!
