Alright guys with all of our beloved Lions drafts which player was the biggest bust of all time? There are so many options and you can only pick one. I gotta go with Andre Ware. Why I picked Ware is because how high he was drafted, 7# overall, how long he played, sparingly for one season, and he was the current heisman winner coming out of college. Also he played the most important position in football at the quarterback position. A lot of money for a man holding a clipboard, he is by far in my opinion the biggest bust of all time.

Reggie Rogers...

A drunk loser that ended up doing time for vehicular homicide.

You could easily argue for Charles Rogers, Andre Ware, Reggie Rogers or Aaron Gibson - the 4 players who've ended up in ESPNs article on the top 50 draft bust (discussed at MLive: blog.mlive.com/highlightreel/2008/04/three_lions_make_espns_list_of.html)

That said, I agree that Reggie Rogers is probably the worst of the bunch - playing for only 2 years as a pass rusher, in 11 games with 1 sack?  Add in the disappointment of his vehicular homicide conviction and I think he's got it wrapped up as the Lions biggest bust...

From a  production standpoint, the biggest bust has to be Reggie Rogers. He put up almost 0 stats before the vehicular homicide.

Charles Rogers was off to a great start to his career, and had great production before hurting his collarbone. He was a bust because he lacked the drive to return from injury. He was fine before that, though.

Ware and Gibson at least played for awhile and at times showed flashes of what they could be. They were busts in the long run because they didn't even come close to living up to their potential.

I'm going to go with Joey Harrington.  When we drafte Joey, he was supposed to be our franchise "QB" over the next ten years.  As we all know, that never came to fruition and it ultimately set-us back 5 years.

A close runner-up is Mike Williams.  When the Lion's took MW over Shawn Merriman, when we already had Roy Williams and Charles Rogers, I was befounded.  Imagine what our Defense would look like if we built it around a pass-rushing stud like him.

Either way you look at it, Joey and Mike are my two biggest draft busts of all time.  Overall, I believe Matt Millen is a bigger bust than anyone who was ever drafted.  He's done such a horrible job of accumulating talent over the past 8 years it has buried the Lion's franchise.

Matt Millen = Garbage Dump

1A. Charles Rogers would have to be my pick...So much talent, so much expectations and did nothing as a #2 overall pick. A complete waste!

1B. Andre Ware this guy was one of the worst first round QB's ever drafted!

Go Lions

Len Beaudin-g from the either n or s dakota?

Mike Williams-eating giant from USC?

Charles Rogers-MSU?

Joey Harrington-Oregon

I think MATT MILLEN is the one!
