Donaghy may be a felon but it doesn't mean that what he says should be dismissed. While I absolutely hate Jose Conseco and don't believe 95% of what he says there is no question that some of his accusations are true.
I believe Donaghy is playing up most of the issues but I do believe that he will be proven true and big changes will come from this.
I believe that the NBA has pointed out specific players to "watch", like Yao Ming in the Dallas series. I don't the NBA should ever point out a particular player for a violation. It's ok to say to the ref's watch out for illegal screens but to say watch Yao Ming for illegal screens is a different story.
The NBA is not dumb enough to ever came out and tell refs to specifically make sure a team wins a game. I believe they may have made comments that could be interpreted that way with the thought of "i hope they do" Why won't the NBA want ever series to go the distance, or for the bigger market teams to make the finals, one thing we can all agree on is Stern and the NBA are all about the dollars.
