Even though I cant contain my bias as an AZ alumni, I truly think Budinger should return for his junior year.  Watching a majority of the games, Chase shows promise, but has a lot to work on.  Cant help but think of Jacobsen, and Kapono when thinking of Chase being in the NBA.  And last time i checked, those two (Jac, and Kap) havent exactly lived up to standards.

I don't get it with Arizona Pro teams always trying to draft a home state "hero"...he is gonna suck in the pros point blank. Has anyone seen College superstar JJ Reddick  or Adam Morrison recently??? Who, EXACTLY!!!

Chase should return to arizona and work on being a better all round player. I hate seeing guys jump to the NBA to early and waste away on someone's bench. Adam Morrison missed the entire season due to an injury. He's played well and will be a good pro. JJ Reddick is like most Duke pros. He stinks. Most Duke kids do well at the college level and don't live up to much in the NBA. Besides Elton Brand, Corey Maggette and Grant Hill name me another Duke player that has lived up to their college success. Don't hand me Shane Battier either. Guys who go in the top 6 of the draft should be way better then he is.

Budinger will improve more at the NBA level, than as a part time student athlete. The NBA drafts on promise. If Budinger fails to improve for a 3rd time at the UA, his promise drop. Look at Shaqur, Adams, McClennan. Four years at Arizona did nothing for their NBA future. Their stock dropped during their time there.

Kapono is making $6million a year for Toronto and is the top 3 point shooter in the league the past two years. Also won the 3 point contest at the all start game the past 2 years. Budinger can only hope for that kind of career start and not repeat what Shaqur, Adams, McClennan did.

Besides, Kapono stayed 4 years so why use him as your example?

Not that I really want to defend Duke.

Carlos Boozer? Heard of him?

Luol Deng?

Both have exceeded their college success.

Budinger has not improved with two years at Arizona. Its a pattern that has repeat with other players there. He is best to "get while the getting is good."
