I think Kevin Love is a safe pick, but taking him fifth overall is too high.
I would much rather see the Grizzlies get Anthony Randolph from LSU. He has been compared to Chris Bosh, and he is a proven rebounder at the college level. His strength and perimeter game are his weaknesses, but both can improve over time. He also has more potential than Lopez and Love (in my opinion). DeAndre Jordan's stock has dropped a lot since March.
I do agree though that Brook Lopez could fall to the Bobcats at number 9. People are saying that he has bust labeled all over him because he does not have as much upside as Randolph, Love and Jordan.
Rumor has it that the Heat and Grizzlies are working on a trade that would send the second overall pick to Memphis for the 5th pick, Mike Miller, and Kyle Lowry. If this happens, I hope the Bulls take Derrick Rose with the first pick so the Grizzlies can take Michael Beasley. Outside of Rudy Gay and Mike Miller (who might be traded), the Grizzlies really do not have a go-to scorer. Beasley can be that type of player for Memphis if this works out.
ESPN.com's Chad Ford has the Grizzlies taking Kevin Love 5th overall.
