I hope Mediate wins tomorrow.  Tiger is the best player.  No doubt about it.  However, I feel that Mediate deserves the title.  He is unknown and is 45 years old.  Tiger already has proven he is the best.  Now let's give Mediate his chance.  Just thank God it's not Colin Montgomerie, John Daly, or VIjay Singh playing with Tiger.  I can't stand all three.  Everyone can appreciate Rocco.

I couldn't agree more with you.  Just watching Mediate throughout the day made me appreciate him more and more and I actually found myself hoping that Tiger would miss the putt at 18.  Here's hoping Rocco can pull it out tomorrow!

I agree 100%

it's very cool being witness to who will be the greatest golfer ever (providing his health holds up) ....but, as you say, watching the "everyday man" play and enjoy himself so much...how can we not root for him. Tiger will many more chances, this might be rocco's last chance on the regular tour...

go rocco

...so I got love for Rocco Mediate.  His personality is just outstanding, and he's like that whether he's collecting the trophy or tipping the clubhouse attendant after missing the cut.  I'll be happy for him if he wins tomorrow.

That said, I'm still rooting for Tiger.  For anyone who is skeptical about what he's accomplishing, let me just say that there's a reason golfers sit out for months and months after having surgery on their major joints - especially the knees.  I believe Tiger would've withdrawn from this week's event, were it not the US Open.  And I believe he won't play again until the Open Championship.  It's just ridiculous what he's doing.

The only way I want someone to win tomorrow is with a 50 foot miracle putt.  Don't care who is swinging the club.

I've become a bit of  Rocco fan after this tournament, but I still gotta go for Tiger tomorrow. A win tomorrow by Tiger would just add one more amazing story to the long list of accomplishments in Tigers absolutely incredible career. I usually tend to cheer for the underdogs like Mediate, but Tiger is something special. He's just a joy to watch, and the man defines excellence.

It's great seeing Mediate still playing strong at his age, and I wouldn't be upset if he won, but Tiger has my support.

Besides, I have money on Tiger to win the tournament. lol
