I was reading the trade rumors blog on the MLB page here. There was a note that someone suggested the Cards trading Colby Rasmus and Bryan Anderson (sp?) for CC Sabathia. I would like to see us pick up a guy like Sabathia but I'm not too sure about that deal. What are your thoughts?

Maybe they should first figure out why all their starting pitchers are getting hurt, before they sign another high dollar, long term contract. How much are we paying Mulder and Carp to ride the pine?
I realize injuries are part of the game, but not 8 or 9 pitchers all at once: Carp, Mulder, Clement, Izzy, Brad Thompson, Josh Kinney, Tyler Johnson, Wellemeyer?, Wainwright, Pineiro, etc.

Hello ladies, its me again! Well, as you know, the Royals are coming into town tomorrow. The I-70, oops I mean the Mark Mcgwire Memorial Hiway series is back!
We are gonna put it to you guys so bad! I wonder, with all your injuries, if Joaquin Andujar or Terry Pendleton are willing to come out of retirement to help you losers out?
GO Cubs!!!!!

Hey Bastyd - learn how to spell "Highway" you ignorant fool. Must be from KC.
Can't wait to see your Ace Gil Meche take the mound. Good luck ever unloading that contract.

I don't think we need to part ways with Colby Rasmus, he is the future in CF for the next decade. Yes, he is struggling in triple A right now but to go after CC and give up him....hmmm I question that. I live in Ohio, grew up near Cleveland so the Tribe is my 2nd favorite team. I personally don't like it.
I hear the Mariners are looking to unload some payroll including Bedard...what a fit he would be. Duncan (DH), Reyes, etc. to Mariners for Bedard. He is a free agent after NEXT year - so the M's may be willing to part ways with him.
I would not unload a slew of next year prospects, including Rasmus for a hefty mega year contract that would come with CC and his 300lb frame. No thanks!

Gil just got a win! His big problem has been run support, wich he got the other day.
The Royals are a young team on the rise. By the way, how old is Albert?
Weve got young pitchers with Bannister and Greinke. Weve got young hitters with Gordon, Aviles, Olivo, Butler and Guillen.
Your bats dont scare us, and your pitching, well,,,, you can use a band-aid. Right about now, you would kill for Meche.
Do you really think you can pull a late season rally and catch the Cubs? It would be more realistic to try and catch the Stros.

Reply to this blog after the series. Cards have the 2nd best recored in baseball - they can afford a little slide in late June til the arms come back and Pujols is healthy. Nothing but a small setback but I still like our chances
