What is wrong with Marmol? -

	This is going to be a serious problem if he keeps this up. I mean Thursday in Tampa was brutal, and then today he walks the bases loaded and throws a wild pitch. He was one of the most consistent relievers in the majors in the early going and now he seems only to pitch well when the bases are loaded. Its getting to the point that I am nauseous when I see him warming up.

	I'm with you. The Cubs need Marmol in the biggest way. When he and Wood are doing well the game becomes 7 innings. Maybe he is trying to get too fine with his pitches. I'm sure Larry and Lou will get him back on track. It seems he started to go south when the talk of all star game and him started. Maybe he's trying to impress and it's backfiring???

	I think the inactivity of not pitching in four days hurt his control. And don't all pitchers go through some down periods. Relax he will be alright.

	I don't think it's a big deal. He's not a head case and he's not hurt. I think he is used to pitching every other day, and I think that is how he was used to being used. He was once a starter and he is young, his arm is live. I think the inactivity might have helped him rest but he lost his release point a little bit. Seems also like he tries to overthrow some pitches. A few side sessions will fix this. Right now, with Wuertz throwing well you can maybe give MArmol an outing or two outside of a pressure situation to get things right. His windup doesn't seem too conducive to control but he has been effective before so I think he will be fine. I'd be more worried if he was throwing 88 than just being wild.

	i'm pretty sure chicagorich hit the nail right on the head. before the Tampa game it had been 4 days since Carlos Marmol had last pitched. i think that is just to long for him and hes just a little rusty. i dont think there is any reason to worry because even though he didnt look like himself against the White Sox, he looked better than he did against Tampa. i'm glad that they put him in after they had a big lead, he will get it back though, no worries.

	Visions of Ankiel... ugh. If he continues to struggle they'll have to send him down to get straightened out. Also maybe to figure out what the right amount of rest is for him. He is vital to their hopes.

	Everyone has to give up runs sometime, even Marmol will go through a slump. I don't him turning into an Ankiel or Macdougal anytime soon.
