Did we expect anything different than this outcome?
So, if the Denver Nuggets really wanted to send a message...a message to the team, to Carmelo Anthony, their fans, and the NBA in general, why not suspend him when the suspension really mattered most to the young star? Hit him where it stings most and is remembered the longest. Send a message to his ego and yank him for 2 games during the playoffs, if you really want him to get it.
Suspended for the opening 2 games of the 2008/2009 season? That's a decision I certainly don't get. He probably won't get it, either.
