Judging by the game outcome I assume you are talking about the Mets. The same , though, could be asked about the Mariners. Hopefully the Mariners can continue on this offensive tear. If so, they might not have to axe many players (Sexson,Vidro).

I was at the game Mets game last night and clearly was NOT the managers fault. Oliver Perez was just awful last night!

I have seen this highlight twice now and that umpire should be suspended and fined. He was inciting players and bumping into managers all that Beltran said was the pitch was low(it also looked inside) and the umpire wanted to be more than just home plate umpire and it is pathetic. When an umpire instigates just to throw somebody out of the game that is ridiculous. I think the Mets are underpeforming and to lose to the terrible Mariners is ridiculous but my point is this umpire is a joke and I hope he gets launched.

All I know at no point have the Mets lost 6 in a row this season. As badly as we've played - we're still only 4 out of the division.

Bad? Yes. Lethargic? No. What Mets team have you been watching? While the Metropolitans continue to underachieve (or as the Latin say, Stinkus Maxiumus), this this team has showed considerable more life since Willie got the boot (yesterday's umpire skirmish, the dugout after Easley's HR against the Angels, the team unity with the starting pitcher staying on the mound and personally handing the ball to the incoming reliever, etc come to mind).
Has it translated into success? Not really, but labeling this team as lethargic is simply unjustified.

Thank God for inter league play for the Mariners. If only we could play the Met's and Padre's more often. Nice to have the Pads as our "natural rival" for interleague games..........
