CHC NL  Games - 28 ;  At Bats - 82;  Runs -  9; Hits -  25; Doubles -  6; Triples - 1;  Home Runs -  6; RBI - 21; Stolen Bases -  0; Caught Stealing - 0; Bases On Balls - 10;  Strikeout - 14; Batting Average - .305; OBP - .376; Slugging - .622

These stats are not entirely up to date as those who are fantasy afficiandos will be quick to poiunt out. But in my humble opinion, Jimmy Ballgame is fitting in quite nicely with the Cubs for his tour of duty.

Yeah, and in June he's hitting .352/.438/.759.

I was wrong.  I'm an idiot.  He still has something left.

So Jim Edmonds is on a hot streak, how long will that last.

Ok so people in the begining wanted to toss his butt on the trash heap.

Now all of a sudden Edmonds is hitting HRs and getting on base, but lets not forget that as hot as he is right now, he will cool off very soon, it is just a matter of when.

This is baseball, someone is hot and someone is cold. Right now Soto is cold, real cold but we are not even at the All Star break and being a little cold is expected

If Edmonds stays hot through the White Sox game then I would give him credit but right now a week of hot streak does not consistute hall of fame stats

Jim Edmonds has been absolutely incredible when you consider the production he has given us and we are paying him peanuts.  For those Cubs fans who still hate him because he was a Cardinal for so long, get over it.

"For those Cubs fans who still hate him because he was a Cardinal for so long, get over it."

I can't get over, but I am man enough to admit that Jim Hendry got this one right where I as a fan was wrong.  He's still a Cardinal, but he's a "likeable" Cardinal now.  I'll cheer for him and defend him in conversations a little more these days.

It looks to me like Jimmy is getting healthier all the time. I know he had a recent minor set back with his leg, but in SD he was pretty banged up. His swing is starting to look like the old killer days when he was a Card.....I would love to see him keep it up and bang a few in St. Louis!

Good point, Adam!

This kind of production for the money he is being paid is a STEAL! I bet if you asked Jim, there aren't too many other teams he would rather be with.
