I will say Yankees only because they have so much to live up to, When you are a perennial favorite and are behind a couple teams that are not supposed to be there, wow.And yet, every year people say the same things at this point and they still make the playoffs. Are people calling the Patriots the most disappointing teams in football because they make it to the playoffs year after year. They've dominated the NFL for the last 4 years, only to have 0 championships.
Anyways, i voted the Indians. Here's why. They have had the best starting pitching in the AL. They play in a division where the teams are good, but are far from the top offenses, except for Detroit. And they were leading the division early on. Victor Martinez and Travis Hafner have been awful and their offense and bullpen isn't far behind. After being in the ALCS last year and 1 game away from the World Series, this is absolutely the most disappointing teams in all of baseball.
Billions down the tank continues, this team is not a playoff contender, they are good against the lower class teams, but when they go head to head soon, it will be a bad time in New Yawk.
I would say it is billions down the tank if they aren't still turning a profit which they are the best at. Also, how can you say that it will be bad times when they play the good teams?
They are a good 5-3 vs TB this year.
2-3 vs Boston
2-1 vs Oakland
2-1 vs CHW
2-2 vs Minn
4-5 vs Balt
AFter the Mets series they play 22 of 28 at home vs the Rangers, Red Sox, Rays, A's, Twins, Orioles, and Angles. In those 22 home games, if they go 15-7, which isn't that much to ask, they will be in perfect shape to make a run for the last 2 months. They also have a 3 game visit to Boston in the middle of that home stretch. i think when the trade deadline rolls around the Yankees will be right at the top or within a game of first place.
