Ernie, seriously, the best player available was this guy? Come on. Small forwards, guards, trades and you take him. An unproven talent from an average team. Might as well just call him Blatche Jr. He is exactly the same. Lots of potential, can block a shot or two but has no offensive skills. Great. We have to pay him how much? Ridiculous.
Too late to become a Golden State fan ??

Wow CH4NT, I thought I was a lil' bent out of shape when we passed on Hendrix, but you have me beat! LOL. Keep this mind though; there were still quite a few guys that were on people's draft boards that didn't get drafted. There are three point guards that immediately come to mind that could be cubic zirconias in the rough: Jamar Butler, Jamont Gordon, and Brian Roberts. All three have questions and are not sure things - obviously, but still worth a look. And I'm not even bringing up the European imports who may be just as talented. As far as PFs go, Othello Hunter may be a keeper as well as Josh Duncan, who comes from Power Forward U.......Xavier University. If we get any combination of the people above it will still be a fairly good haul for 2008. But watch the 'Zards wait around until all of the good ones are taken and end up bringing in Kentrell Gransberry, who reminds people of Oliver Miller.......without as much talent; JUST WATCH! We already have underachievers ("with great potential") in the likes of Blatche and Pecherov.
I wonder, do we really want to bring aboard any more dogs that can't hunt?

TB........(sigh), quite possibly. Like I said previously, we must be in mighty deep kimchi to pass up Hendrix to take a guy with bad wheels (Walker), albeit with skills, then trade him to the World Champions for cold, hard cash. Last time I watched the Wizards, they couldn't stop anybody from coming down the middle. I'm sure you folks out there remember LeBron driving the lane virtually at will in the playoffs? Apparently the Wizards' front office have very short memories. The rich get richer, while the poor........trade their picks for cash.
What's the ad jingle again: "Get the cash you need in a flash at CashPoint!" You get the idea. The 'Zards were feeling the pinch and ended up at CashPoint!!
Is it just me or is anybody else out there rubbing their temples......LOL!!!

I think you guys will end up being pleasantly surprised with JaVale Mcgee. You guys don't have a solid center, and with a little training and nba coaching this guy could be a stud player. You may not think of this guy as the right pick, but he was originally a top ten pick too in some of the drafts. He averaged 5 blocks a game and 15 points. He got these averages against a top ranked North Carolina team, so he can play against top competition. With a good team around him and some good coaching, he will be at least a decent starting center.

Hopefully, there is still something in the works. What makes the management team believe we are going to be any better. We have not made any improvements. Sure signing Arenas and Jamison are a plus to keep the core together but we have proven we cannot win with this group.
Ahhhh, peaches. McGee will be a great player for the Pistons, Rockets, Hornets in 2012

This guy is a tooth pick. 7' and weighs 235. He must have a size 15 inch waist. Shaq could stand sideways and you still could not see this guy. Is HGH allowed in the NBA, if so this guy needs to take triple doses starting now.
