Ok the final is sunday personally i can't wait.  Not having David Villa is going to really hurt the Spanish especially since Fernando Torres hasn't played particularly well.  The Germans defense hasn't been very effective but the podolski schweinsteiger combination has been great.  Overall i think so far Spain has been the more impressive team, but missing David Villa will ultimately be too much as the Germans win their 4th European Championship 1-0.

I am hoping for more goals.  Let me take a wild guess:

Spain 2 - 2 Germany

Spain wins by PK after goalless extra-time... 4 - 3

i would love to see a high pace game with a ton of goals but its the final of a major international tournament and many goals isn't something that usually occurs teams don't want to get beat in such a big game.

My Germans have stuck through the persecution and are heading to the finals! But wait....aren't we missing something important? Looks like Ballack is out in what would have fulfilled his legacy as one of the greatest German players of all time. Even if Germany does win it without him it won't be the same. This was his shot at it all and he injured his calf during practice was it? Big blow to the Germans. But with Schweinsteiger on fire, Klose always consistent, Lahm sealing the deal, and Podolski who has been quiet lately has a laser left foot waiting for the chance to pull the trigger. I think we have enough offensive fire power to win this with or without Ballack. It's the perfect matchup. Spain the offensive machine, vs Germany who is the gritty, in your face defensive team. I say Germany wins 3-2. Lehmann makes me nervous at times. But with one of their best players David Villa out i think Germany has the upper hand. It will be one exciting game! But please no more technical difficulties. Can we get a soccer game without rain or does it just come with the territory? Seems like EVERY SINGLE soccer game played in Europe it has to be RAINING! That would drive me insane with all that rain. And it's not exactly warm rain either...

first off, the Ballack thing is a media hyped BS story.  i wouldn't read into it as he will probably play.  if he really is injured, then Chelsea has something to do with him not playing.

one would think that germany and their height advantage should net them some good chances on goal.

however, this game will be about  Torres, Cesc, and Casillas.

I sure hope Ballack plays a win would not be the same w/o him.  And Lahm his goal was great but this entire tournament he has been destroyed while playing defense maybe he could be a good midfielder because that shot sure looked good.
