Anyone want to tell me this.

Why does everyone act like we need a PF so bad. Last year was one of the best years for the Magic in almost a decade. Turk did a great job at the PF and many ESPN/NBA guys will agree Turk and Howard had their best years last year at the PF (Turk) and C (Howard)

Why do we need to change anything? It worked last year, let it work again.

The way Turk played PF was basically the same as he would play SG. Shooting, not post moves...

As a franchise you always look for ways to improve your lineup...which lineup do you like better?

Lineup A:
Howard/Gortat
Turk/Battie
Shard/Cook
Bogans/Lee (looks like Evans might be gone)
Nelson/Dooling

Lineup B:
Howard/Gortat
David Lee (most accessable to get)/Battie
Shard/Cook
Turk/Lee/Bogans
Nelson/Dooling

Trade Arroyo, rights to Fran Vazquez and JJ and possbily future draft pick to New York for David Lee, let's just say...

Starting lineup wize--Turk with David Lee and Turk with Bogans are the differences...

Bench wise -- Lee and Bogans are splitting minutes from the bench and helps the rookie find his feet better and be relied upon less...

To have a solid shooting PF (Turk), solid post PF (Lee) and a veteran backup (Battie) is great..

Bogans isn't a starter...lineup B is all starters and provides excellent depth for us...

Are you dense? Seriously you want to know why we are in dire need for at least a serviceable PF? First, Tony Battie is coming off a serious shoulder injury and he might not be able to perform at the same level as before his injury. Second, I will agree that we had a good season with Lewis and Turk splitting time @ the 4 but, we cannot continue to pay Lewis a max contract and play him out of position and expect optimum output. Third, we have the BEST center in the association and we're not doing him any favors by not getting him any inside help. How long do you think Dwight can go on taking the beating that the other 29 teams will put on him in the paint for 82 games? Don't you want to protect the future of your franchise? How far will we go if he misses any games next season? Lastly, have you paid any attention to the trades that have been made by Eastern conference teams so far this off season or the draft? There has been a significant influx of young bigs full of potential and you can no longer say that we have the "best" front court. A lot of teams have made moves that bettered their front courts and if we stand pat on ours it will be a major step backwards. Did you see how the Pistons played Dwight in the playoffs? Based on your post, I guess not?

Lets not get testy, just an opinion.

And no, I dont have cable where I live so I dont get any news on any trades or what not.

Who has been traded so far? I know ONeal went to the Raptors but thats the only one I know of.

Not like it matters to our team, but Baron Davis just opted out of his contract and Elton Brand did the same to his as well, but he's going to re-sign with the Clips, so anyone wanting his services in Orlando isn't going to happen.

Tor traded for O'neal
Indy drafted DJ White and N. Jawai
Char drafted Ajinca
Cle drafted Hickson
Wsh drafted McGee

NJ is going to be tough especially if Cristic is healthy

Corey Maggette opted out of his final year in LA and has said that he would like to play for Orlando. His parents life in cntral Florida I think and Maggette said he wants to play for a championship so hopefully the Magic can land him.
