When ever i see a new record set in Track and field, i immediately think "steroids". Is this just me, or do other think it. Steroids have tainted the Olympics for me, i still love them, but i always have that little doubt in my head.
Should it even matter if they are on steroids?
If you want to know if steroids should be illegal, you should look at how some of the Soviet "women" used to compete. They shattered a lot of world records because, frankly, they weren't even women anymore. If steroids are allowed, it forces people to screw with their bodies to be able to compete. That sucks.
Steroids were the first thing that came to my mind too when I heard he ran a 9.77. I obviously have no idea if he is or isn't on them but Track & Field has had so many sprinters test positive for steroids you can't help but wonder.
I definitely think it should matter if they're on steroids. I just don't think they'll ever be able to catch all of those who use it because the abusers are usually one step ahead of the testing procedures.
