Guys the time is now!!!! I know and understand we are one or maybe two guys away from being a dangerous force in the west. We have a chance to take it all if we can somehow some way stay HEALTHY. My question is.......If you are Morey would you call the Nets and offer a trade to get Vince Carter here. Some how someway we can be the Boston Celtics of the West. They want expiring contracts so they can make a run for LeBron. Would you want Vince Carter in a Houston uniform considering the monster contract he has...
Yao. > >> >> Perkins
Scola <<<<< Garnett
McGrady = Pierce
Carter > Allen
Alston > Rondo
Dude, I love the sound of that!!! But, do you think it's possible to pull that off? How huge is his contract? Who would we have to give up to get him too? I know Head, Hayes and Jackson would be on the block, but would really suck to give up Scola, Landry, Greene, Dorsey or even Novak!! (who by the way is going to turn some heads in his career and I hope we stop letting him go to waste), Remember Matt Bullard??
Any thoughts??
I dont think the Nets would let Vince Carter go anyway, if all those rumors of LeBron James leaving the Cavaliers to sign in Jersey is true... he's going to want some talent around him.
And I really hope we keep a specialist like Steve Novak, guy is really going to waste on our bench. What do you think of a nickname of White Out for Novak, I think it's pretty fitting.
Maybe the Nets will make an attempt to try and take him. They said they are actively trying to trade him but there are no takers because of his contract. I believe he has 3 or 4 years left with 15 mil. The way the Nets roster is shaking up to be they are not a team to contend even being in the east. Trading Kidd and Jefferson showed that they gave up and are in rebuilding mode. In order to get something great you have to give up something and i think Battier...Jackson....Luther Head....and fillers with do. The Nets want expiring contracts and even though we may not have the best looking deal its worth a try. Yes Battier is a good defensive player and i don't want to get rid of him but last time i checked the nba is 5 on 5 not 1 on 1. Yeah we may trade away one of the best defensive player in the game today and won't have nobody to guard the Kobes and Lebrons of the world but its a team effort. Just look at the Celtics for example.
I think that contract would be doable for the Rockets if they trade Battier.. Let me tell you, I don't want to lose Battier but it's worth it to get Vince!!!
But let me put this question out there...
Remember when Carter and TMac were Team mates in Toronto?
If you need, go check TMac's stats in his first 3 seasons! His scoring went from 15 PPG to over 25 the year he was traded to Orlando... Carter outshined and perhaps stifled Tmac in Toronto...
So my question is, do you think that would happen again? I know they are cousins and I am sure they love each other like family but I would hate for that to happen to Tmac again... I know now he is established, unlike back then but it is a concern for me...
What do you guys think?
But how I would love to have that 3rd mad scorer in Carter here, I think that could bring to title home if there wouldn't be any issues where Tmac would somehow take a back seat to Carter...
Starting 5

Tmac
Carter

Damn that looks good!!!

Wow, just now realized that we'll be short on PG's!!! LOL, I am sure we can fix that somehow.. Morey being the magician that he is with moving players and finding gems!!
GO ROCKETS!!! Bring home a Title NEXT YEAR!!! And SMOKE UTAH!!!!!!!
