JAMISON RESIGNED (REPORTS)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Two-time All-Star forward Antawn Jamison has re-signed with the Washington Wizards, agreeing to a four-year, $50 million deal.

The contract clears the way for the team to focus on its other major free agent: three-time All-Star Gilbert Arenas. Arenas has said he would not return unless the team also re-signed Jamison.

Jamison told The Associated Press there wasn't any doubt in his mind that he would return to the Wizards. He traveled from North Carolina to Washington on Monday to sign the deal.

Jamison averaged 21.4 points and 10.2 rebounds last season.

Baron Davis a true point guard? I don't know about that.  A true point guard is someone like Kidd or Nash.  Davis is sort of like Arenas except he isn't quite as prolific a scorer, but he does play better defense.  In the long run the two would probably produce the same results for the Wizards. 

I really think the Wizards problem is PG.  Until we get a true PG, it'll likely be first round elimination all over again.  That doesn't mean we couldn't still use Arenas, I just don't think he is the proper fit at PG, he plays more like a 2 .
