4 Years at 50 million is a lot of money. But for a guy who had a great year, this might be enough to have Antawn Jamison end his career in Washington. It is not so much money that we can't give Gilbert Arenas exactly what he wants, which preserves our big three for the foreseeable future. If they can stay healthy, and the role players like Brandon Haywood, Andray Blatche, Antonio Daniels, Nick Young and Darius Songalia continue to perform, we might even have a chance to make it to the second round of the playoffs. If we could just get by the Cavs. Solid work by Ernie Grunfeld to get this done before free agency started, which should really have an impact in the Arenas negotiations over the next few days as free agency starts.

Great news,  I would love to see Butler, Arenas & Jameson healthy for an entire year. Now Eddie needs to get them in camp & healthy.....

the Wizards would be dumb to give Arenas $100 mill over 6 years.  Remember, NBA contracts are guaranteed.

WoW...$12.5 mil a year to play basketball. I wish I was gifted enough. It would take me 926 years at my current job with my yearly salary to make $50 million.

It will be interesting to see what Hibachi decides to do now that Jamison will be around next season.

Well Hermaphrodite arenas wants the max which is $125 over 6 years. $100 million ain't bad if he returns to the way he was before the surgery and learns to play D

Jamison, Arenas, Butler, Stevenson, Haywood, Blatche, Young, Daniels, Songalia, McGuire, McGee, and the return of the poet Etan. Tell me that's not a gauranteed, if healthy, deep playoff team.
