Once again football is the lead story on cbs.sportsline, and yet it is July 1st. Doesn't anyone around here follow baseball? Or is this a conspiracy, since the Yankees aren't the top team. No Yankees, no baseball? Is that it, guys? Even the poll question currently up is about college football! I know many, many people love football, but this is getting ridiculous. But the lead story, again?!? There is great, great baseball going on right now, and all anyone can publish is football talk! Can I at least get a little love for the Tampa Bay Rays? Anyone?

I'll tell you what basball is its the small market teams like the D-Rays and the Twins that kick the $hit out of the big money team like the Yankees and Red Sox is what makes baseball. I dont like seeing the same teams in the playoffs every year, i like a little diversity.
Look at what is happening in the AL Central, the Indians have gone from first to worst in the past month and a half where many people were picking the Indians to make the playoffs and win the Central, maybe even the world series, but news flash people the White Sox are on top with the Twins right on their tails. Oh yeah and I love seeing Boston lose to the D-Rays and the Yankees lose to Texas. Come on Texas who are they.
Go Twins its going to be on hell of a 2nd half of the season

cbs used to produce the nfl's website and have a tv contract. now they produce the ncaa's web site and they have a sec tv contract. YES there is heavy bias. the yankees and the mets are meaningless this year. both chicago teams are in first place so they want to distract from that.

Baseball is almost dead. Salaries are too high, they are only going after the players in the steroid scandal and not the owners and commish. and the season is just too long. Baseball doesn't mean anything until mid August.

Don't get me wrong here. I absolutely love baseball, but are you really this upset about one article (which you didn't HAVE to read) that you decided it was worthy of you spouting off? Seriously, what went on yesterday in baseball that should be the lead story today? Rays down Sox? Good for them. That's great. I hope they run away with it and win the Series just because they have, by comparison, a miniscule budget. That's all well and good, but nobody wants to read about that every day either. Just like we all like seeing a little diversity in the baseball playoff teams, we all like reading about out-of-season sports every now and then, and starts some discussions about whatever they write about in the article.

how can you be upset about not enough baseball??? it's year round!!! there's NEVER a break from baseball. So if we miss something today, don't worry, the exact same thing will happen tomorrow...and the next day...and, you get the picture. When the scroll goes on ESPN, and you want to see updates or stats from any other sport, you have to sit through 30 minutes of useless baseball stats for games that don't matter, because if they lose one, no worries, they've got 161 other chances to make it up.
my point is, although i'm biased, being a football fan, i've never heard anyone complain about not enough baseball...it's on CONSTANTLY
go devil rays! does that help??

Baseball sucks.
Basketball sucks.
Hockey sucks. Though not as much.
Face it. Football is America's Game.
Baseball can take a backseat.
