To be honest, considering that we were rumored to be trading VC for Wally straight up, that would be a decent a trade.
However, there is one major problem. Shane Battier's contract expires 2011, like Vince, and acquiring his contract will be no help to us for 2010. He also plays the same position as Lebron, so that wouldn't work. Bobby and Luther would help us, and their contracts expire this year and next year, respectively, and combined they'll be $8 million off the cap.
Contractually, the deal is possible, but I don't see the Nets doing that trade unless a third party is involved to take on Battier's contract.
