I want to know what Position are the 49ers strongest in. Where do we look good at.

I think we are good in a couple things. I like our RB's, LB's, and the Secondary. If I had to pick 1 area I would go with the RB's. I think with Gore and Foster and Robinson we might have the deepest RB's. They all do something different. Our LB's are almost there. With Willis and Manny things look good there. Also our Wr's are better then last year.

You cant forget about our Special Teams though!! we had two pro bowl players LEE (Punter) and Willis (LB) and I think we are great at RB, LB and Special Teams but what we are best at sad to say is ST just but that is also a good thing hopefully our QB will be the best this year!!

Hands down it has to be our LB corps... I mean if you take a look at guys like Brick and (Jeff Ulbrich) Brandon Moore who were starting for us just a few years ago and posting large tackle numbers, and the addition of Tully Bata Cain (although hasn't looked good to me yet) that alone would be a solid group when you throw Patrick Willis in there. However let us not forget the new guy Dotarious Thomas who was a beast at Auburn and played alongside another division LB Karlos Dansby to form a pretty sick tandem for the tigers 4 or 5 years ago... He is big and physical and can play outside or inside... Parys Harylson is a good OLB that is still getting used to the game it's his 3rd year so he should be better. Jay Moore the rookie from last year has huge upside and looks to fit the mold of a Manny Lawson who oh by the wat has been hurt and should make some noise this year... Talks to get Takeo Spikes are still there and we have another rookie in Grant from another LB U (Ohio State) so I would have to say we look real good on paper at least in the LB corps... After that I would say RB/FB although we don;t have a true FB and haven;t since Bar Nunn Williams Floyd... Then maybe OL... I think we still need help at the WR spot, CB spot, and DE/DT spot... I will say I am fing pumped about the upcoming season and can't wait to see Alex Smith take lead of his team and make huige strides in being that number 1 Nolan threw the dice on his HC career... You watch he will make a big turn for the best...

Go 49ers

It's kind of funny with a 5-11 record that we argue this, cause we have so much talent seriously you have to consider three posistions to be an arguement for the strongest , RB, TE, and LB Frank Gore is every bit as good at rb as P. Willis is at LB, and Vernon Davis has as much potential as both of them, he just hasnt had a qb or a good coordinator to get him the ball, but we all know what they can do but lets take a look at the backups DeShaun Foster Delanie Walker and not a back up but next best thing Manny Lawson, theyre all stars in their own way, and if you would like to debate it im up and im ready for a cyber arguement about anyone of them, because Desahun Foster was a stud in 02' as a back up, but anybody who watched football that whole year wouldnt have minded having Foster on their team cause he was dope. Delanie Walker is almost as good as V.Davis he too just needs some tutoledge and Manny Lawson with his blazing speed has the potential to be up there with the elite outside linebackers in the league he's just now getting to together, his first yr. he was adjusting from the d-line, Patrick Willis didnt have to do that, but those two games last yr. that manny lawson played he looked like a stud, I seen him everywhere, so it's hard to say cause hands down we have talent, and be happty that this is an arguemnet cause most teams cant argue it they have a strong position and a very weak one, but we have 3 with the rest ok , not horrible.

Wow...I am very surprised to see so few votes for our secondary. I actually don't think our LB corps are as strong as our secondary. Take away P. Willis, we really dont have many proven gamers left. I don't know about you, but i have yet to seen Lawson making an impact and the rest of the LBs are just avg players. As a group, they don't have much sacks that 3-4 LBs should have. On the other hand, we have a #3 corner Spencer who can  start in this league and our safeties are decent. Though they did not cause much turnover, they are way more solid than the one-man show LB corps of ours. I would rank our secondary before our LBs.
