tsn.ca/nhl/story/

I just saw the newest about Burke's ragging on Kevin Lowe.  The fact of the matter remains strong and steadfast.  If Kevin Lowe hadn't done the offer sheet thing and inflated player salaries, somebody else would have.  This article shows - as speculative as it may be - that Burke is still upset about losing Penner.  It shows - without a reasonable doubt in my opinion - that he's more than slightly upset about having to sign Perry for more than he would have liked.  It's pretty clear that at this point that Burke is just using Lowe as a scapegoat for his frustrations.

It is what it is Burke.  If you want everybody to get over Giguerre's oversized pads or the fact that the Ducks play "edgy" hockey (a term that has been misconstrude by Ducks faithful) then put the Lowe/offer sheet thing to rest.

brian burke is an idiot.  always cries if he doesn't get his way.  maybe edmonton overpaid for penner last year, but who cares.  they really wanted him.  burke has been crying for years.  the person he should be whining about is gary bettman.  bettman is the person at fault about the nhl's policies.  i thought the problem with the whole lockout was high player salaries.  looks like dipstick is going back to his old ways.  $6.5 mil is a pretty good spike in the cap.  next year it'll be $10 mil.  don't blame kevin lowe for playing the game financially.  the Oilers have the money to sign other players.  maybe burke should worry about his own team.

Burke's a crybaby. As good as he is as a GM, I'm not crazy about the possibility of him becoming the next Leafs GM. See how much he gets on tv being with the Ducks? Just imagine if he's a Leaf next year. Too much Burke for the public to cope with.

Kevin Lowe nailed him on NHL radio tonight and I loved it.

The guy throws 4 million a year at a washed up bum like Bertuzzi and blames Lowe for signing Penner...idiot...
