They can extend their lead over the Red Sox if the Yankees can win 2 or 3, cause im expecting a sweep of the Royals this weekend. Lets hope were up by 5 1/2 by the end of the Sox vs Yanks game. Rays are playing great right now, lets keep winning.

Yankees already lost one and honestly I think the Sox will win at least 3 in this series, hope I am wrong though.
And I would like to see a sweep, but you can't assume a 4 game sweep of any team, it could happen, but it's too much to assume.

Yanks have dropped 2 to the Red Sox and coming in to that series I too, was thinking the Yankees would drop 3 of them. Nynetb you are correct even if it is the Royals to expect anyone to sweep a 4 game set. The Rays of course won last night, Id like to think the way we are playing we should be able to take 3 of 4, but then again the Royals just got a 4 game split v/s the Orioles in Baltimore, and both the Royals and Baltimore have been playing better as of late. we have 9 more games before the break 3 more at home then 6 on the road v/s the yankees (2) hopefully we get a split there then 4 in Cleveland v/s the Indians once agin Im hoping for a split and keep our road record at .500 at the break as well as maintain our lead in the East Go Rays!!!!!!

I dont understand you Florida people! Youve got the best team in baseball, and you couldnt even get 17,000 people there last night. If it was Kansas City, you wouldnt be able to hear that loudmouth who makes fun of a player every night. Whats his deal,is he off his meds? Last night, he was picking on John Buck. I remember last season, he was calling out Esteban German.
Youve got Dick Vitale, and cowbells. Youve got a good young team, Im not a big fan of your turf, but you have a nice stadium. I hope you guys blow out the Yanks and Sox. Just not tonite. Royals 8 Rays 3. GO ROYALS!!!

In our area when something is going on like the 4th or memorial day the Trop pulls not so great crowds. Even with an early start time there wasn't a lot of people. I'm sorry I know the Rays have the best record in baseball right now, but on the 4th of July I'd rather walk to the end of my street, sit on the sea wall, and watch fireworks from 3 different cities go off over the inter-coastal. With the concert tonight you'll see plenty more people Saturday night.

We want a sox sweep. Here's why:
We have to look at the whole play-off pitcure, not just the division. Okay. I want the division too, but there will be two teams from the AL bEast that make the play-offs this year. I'd rather be 2-3 games ahead of Boston and 10 games in front of the next, than 4-5 in front of Boston and 5-6 in front of 3rd place. You can't just look at the division lead. You have to make the paly-offs before you ca nwin anything. As long as we stay close to the Sox, or ahead, and have a good distance between us and 3rd place, we should be fine.
