wow you actually see us winning games one after the other during the hardest part of the schedule. we have the 4th hardest schedule i think? - thanks to the 2nd half.
I probably agree most with Strange's list. I can't believe you other guys actually have the Steelers winning twice! With a healthy defense and capable backups, you are far more likely to see the 2006 Ravens vs steelers game as opposed to the 2007. Expect a monster pass rush to eat up a very weak OLine pocket. Also, Willie Parker is next to non-existent when playing the Ravens run D, so just like in '06, don't expect them to score much unless the defense or special teams put up points.
I don't know that I can put down 2 wins vs the Bengals though because for some reason, those are the games the offense falls apart. The Defense keeps us in them, but I always see those games as a close contest where the Bengals score on 1 huge play and that takes the win.
I don't put much stock in strength of schedule at all because of the way teams change from year to year. Also, the NFC still in my opinion is the weaker conference, and you certainly cannot convince me that the Giants are or were a better team than the Patriots. They won the SB, and congratulations to them, but the best team doesn't always win. Philadelphia's offense really centers around Westbrook since he pretty much does everything for the team. If the Ravens shut him down, Phila loses easy.
Also, the Jacksonville game is too hard to call. It depends on the records and playoff seeding. Jacksonville might very well be locked into a playoff spot again, and if they play their backups, I think the Ravens can certainly win whether we have our starters or backups in the game.
I think the Ravens should be nice and deep this year which we may not have been in the past. I think this will make us have a much stronger team than anticipated, and it's always better to go into a season with the outside expectations low.
