I don't want Rolston with Holik.  Holik is older and slower he won't keep up with Rolston.

Yeah I agree Bigtime.  Clearly Rolston was Lou's idea of the big gun we needed...so we have to utilize him in that way.  I'm tired of this Langenbrunner crap.  Get him off the first line, he dumbs down Elias and Parise's game.

Let Patty play the middle in between Rolston and Parise.  Then you go Holik/Zajac, Langenbrunner, and Zubrus.  Madden, Pandolfo, Gionta (maybe even Clarkson here and this line is a real offensive threat).  Clarkson, Zajac/Holik, rookie?

I think I'd actually rather see Pando strictly as a first line penalty killer / fourth liner.  I think its time for John Madden to start playing with some offensive firepower because I think he can really deliver if given the opportunity.  But if Pando comes out flying offensively like he did at the start of last year, I'd be perfectly happy with him and Madden together.

Defensively, I was a huge hater of Oduya and Paul Martin playing on the same line, but you can't argue with the success they had.  It would be hard to put Colin White up with Martin after I saw what I did at the end of last season.  You can say Oduya made dumb mistakes and he's not a first line defender...but you can't argue with the +/- changes.

Parise, Rolston, Elias
Langs, Zajac, Gionta
Pando, Maddog, Clarkson
Zubrus, Holik, Rupp/Bergfors/Vrana

Martin, Oduya
Mottau, White
Salvador, V.V./Brookbank/Corrente/Greene

I think the offensive lines could change a lot.  Zubrus has the ability to put up 50 pts. and Zajac had a really good rookie year.  I think both will step it up a bit next season.  Clarkson could be on the 4th line, but for now I like the toughness he adds to the Madden line.  Mike Rupp has to go- it is time to give either Bergfors or Vrana a chance at the NHL level.  I would also like to see V.V. get moved, but I don't think that will happen, but he could be on the roster as the 7th D-man.
