Who will Jerry Manuel rest for tonight's game against 90 year old flame thrower Jamie Moyer?  Are we playing the Phillies to try and cut into their lead in the NL east or are we playing the worst team in baseball?  Oh yeah, we've already lost 2 out of 3 at home to them.  I look at it this way, we'll be out of it by the time our players have gotten all of their rest.

Wow.  Sounds like you have already given up on the season.  I know it has been frustrating, but as poorly as they have played, they are only 5 1/2 games back with almost half a season to play.   Last year it was almost reversed and look what happened.  Why is everyone so ready to just give up on this team?  If they get swept in this series then, yes, they are in trouble but let's at least let them play the games.

This is only the 3rd series vs the Phillies and the Mets won both. 2-1 @ Shea and 2-1 in Philly. After losing a tough games last night we're 4-3 vs the Phillies on the year.

I agree the resting of players has got to stop, the whole team will get a long break next week.

Tartans, I was talking about the Seattle Mariners, they were the worst team in baseball and we lost 2 out of 3 to them at home.

nymetfan, I'm not giving up on them, I'm mentioning things that need to change and change now before it's too late.  We're playing the season right now like we're 10 games ahead of eveyone else in the divison, agree?

Gotta agree with Ram Tough on this one.  Resting players helps when you rest someone who has played day in and out and starts to struggle like David Wright began to. Resting guys like Church who just came off the DL is ridiculous.  I don't care if it's a lefty pitcher they're facing or not.  If anyone should be rested against a lefty it's Delgado, let Easley play.  My proposed lineup until the DL is cleaned up is:

1. Reyes
