Just wanted to give props to the ref. One of the reasons I was never a huge UFC fan, as compared to Pride, was that the UFC refs call fights a lot faster than the Pride refs did. Everyone was certain the ref was gonna call it due to Lytle's bleeding but the ref kept the match going. Kudos to the ref for letting them continue.

Lytle got an old school butt whooping, just like the MMA days of old.

I disagree with you on one part.  The official in that fight almost screwed Koscheck.  In the 3rd round with less than 2 minutes left, Josh is on top elbowing like he was doing all night and all of a sudden the ref stands them up?  WTF???  It's not like Koscheck wasn't doing anything on top.  They stand up and it almost looks like Lytle came close to knocking out Koscheck with less than a minute left when he should have been on his back til the fight was over.  I didn't like that decision by the ref in this fight.  The fight should have been stopped after the 2nd round ended because it was obvious Lytle looked done when he couldn't even walk straight to his corner to get ready for the 3rd.  Take out the boring Cote- Almeida fight and it was a solid ppv last night.

I agree with two points you both of you made.

1. They let the fight go on even though there Lytle lost a pint or two of blood.

2. They should not have stood them up. There was enough action going on.
