They never give up. Up against the best closer of all time. A closer who has handled them with ease each of the last 6 times and they thought they could beat them.
Down 2 in the 9th and they are looking for a pitch to hit.
NYY has come back 1 frigging time this season when behind in the 9th. Here's 1 reason. They see that same pitch and tsome of them take it .
BTW, is anybody else sick od Abreu watching the 1st pitch go right down the middle. Most of the time he watches the 2nd strike go by too. Doing that forces the a0hole to hit a pitcher's pitch.
Yet another mid single digit hit performance by these slugs.
Thankfully 39 year old Mussina was up to the task and 39 year old Mo righted the ship with bases loaded and 0 outs to save the win for Moose.
dude I could state 30 reasons why the Rays are better than the Sox just drop all this crap that the fans are spewing over I dont think you have heard but the Yanks have many more rings than you guys by the way you guys will lose in first round to the Angels or Devil Ray while the Angels win it all.
one thing to remember about Hairston is he is a bench player right now so its not like he plays against guys he has been horrible against they pput him in situations to where they feel he will suceed most Greene and Kouzmanoff play against everyone
That's just how Abreu hits, you can't bash him for that, he has always done that. He is the best 2 strike hitter in baseball, Yankee fans can't complain about that, he always takes first pitch, that's how he is comfortable hitting.
Duddits, I'm a Yankee fan who is not happy with the way they are playing.
Oh, and your West Coast opinions are only valid on the West Coast They are only 2 games over .500 against the East and I don't believe they have even played the Yankees yet
That's just how Abreu hits, you can't bash him for that
Of course you can. It's stupid
He is the best 2 strike hitter in baseball,
2 things
1- SO WHAT
2- That's because other hitters are smart enough to look for the pitch they want and swing at it before they get 2 strikes.
that's how he is comfortable hitting.
Then make his A$$ uncomfortable. He almost always has somebody on and has had 100 ABs with runners in scoring position. He should be driving in a lot more.
Hamilton mid 80s and Morneau 65 wit 99 ABs w/ RSIP. Guillen 107 ABs w/ RISP and he has 64. Quentin has 61 with only 72 ABs w/ RISP and Lowell has 1 less RBIs with only 64 ABs with RISP
