why don't we sign another running back to go with Matt Forte, our AP is a ok change of pace back but he's really a great special teams player and i'd rather him take over the roll that we are going to be missing with us losing Brandon Ayabadajeo, and Garrett Wolfe I don't think it anything special. I think Forte can be good in this league but if you put him with a vet like Ron Dayne it could be a good 1-2 punch or even give Kevin Jones a freakin chance it's a good risk reward to me and also keep him in the NFC North he would love to run all over his former team the Lions

I think your argument is sound, I would see no negative in bringning in a Veteran FA to at least compete with the rest of the RB's on the roster, whoever, their is a reason all (32) teams have taken a pass on these guy's.......
The flip side is that it would seem that the Bears are in the midst of an Offensive youth movement.
Brandon Lloyd is relatively young, Bennett and Monk will be featured WR's for years to come, Hester will see an expanded role and is entering his 3'rd season, Forte and Williams are both rookies whom will end up starting this year, Olson and Kellen Rookie Kellen Davis are (2) of the three headed monster at TE. Rounding out the younger players sure to see exopanded roles in the near future are Cheese Adams, Josh Beekman and Garrette Wolfe.
Gone are grisseled Veterans Moose, Rueben and Fred, with the possibility of seeing underachieving gaurd Terrance Metcalf getting cut during preseason if he falters again.
I would expect Angelo to add another RB to the mix prior to camp, we only have (5) RB's on the current roster:
Forte 6-2 / 222

AP 5-10 / 210
PJ Pope 5-9 / 212
Wolfe 5-7 / 186
Mathew Lawrence 6-1 / 216
Lawrence was an undrafted minicamp invitee from Massachusettes that impressed the coaches enough to earn a contract all before the Cedric Benson dibacle. He could see some action in a rotation including Forte, AP and Wolfe just to keep the RB's fresh. He has good size and speed and will be competing with PJ Pope for the fianl roster spot in training camp.
