Wait a second....have I been watching a different Sam the Sham than everybody else that thinks he'll be part of a top frontcourt in the conference?  The same Sam that gets 20 and 10 one night and then for the next three games plays like 15 minutes and gets 3 and 3 or whatever?  The Sham will NEVER be part of a "top" froncourt in any conference.  He runs the floor like a gazelle, but constantly makes bonehead plays like fouling a PG at the 3 point line or throwing a crazy pass to an unsuspecting teammate.  I've been watching Sam since he's been at Seton Hall and I'm a Sixer loyalist.....but I can't see Sam being anything more than a reserve C that can give you 15 minutes a night.  Hell, he'd play 20 years like Mutombo then.

The man isn't an allstar, but he averaged a double-double last year and is one of the best shot blockers out there. Throw the man a bone.

I was hard on Sam early on in our hopes to develop a good big man for once....  I think last season he finally cracked through his 'head case' issues and became more of a consistent player....

Yes he has bad hands, but take solace in the fact that with Elton in the mix that Sam will handle it less and be able to play more to his strengths-  rebounds, put backs, and the 10-12 foot jumper...

It'll be fun to watch....  Next on the list---   A Ron Anderson-esque 3 who can shoot it off the bench...
